American born Mary Lambert has lived quite a life and she’s still only 26 – openly admitting she suffers from bipolar disorder, surviving gang rape and later, a suicide attempt – life hasn't always been a bed of roses for the singer.

Channeling her experiences through songwriting earned her a Grammy nomination for the Macklemore and Ryan Lewis track, Same Love, and simultaneously critical acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone and Madonna. Despite fame in the States, the Secrets singer is yet to become a UK household name, but with her debut album Heart On My Sleeve, due for release July 2015 - that's all set to change. Currently touring the US, the singer is headlining her own shows and is set to appear at the 2015 Boston and San Diego Pride Festivals.
